Mette Lindbæk is stepping in as the new CEO of NorNAB, taking over the role from Karl Olav Grønlund Sørensen.

Lindbæk has extensive experience and a strong commitment to sustainable finance. She has previously been CEO of the Finance Society Norway (FFN), Director of Finance Norway, and Head of Communications at Orkla Finance. Lindbæk is also the Managing Director of Norsif (Norwegian Sutainable Investment Forum), as well as Partner and senior advisor at the sustainability consultancy Sustainability AS, where she advises Norwegian companies on strategic sustainability.

“We are delighted that Mette Lindbæk is taking over as our CEO. Her combination of leadership experience in association work and deep expertise in sustainable finance makes her a key driving force in NorNAB’s continued efforts to strengthen the Norwegian ecosystem for impact investing,” says Jan Erik Saugestad, Chairman of the Board at NorNAB.

NorNAB is an independent, member-based association that works to promote the growth and development of the ecosystem for impact investments in Norway. Through active dissemination of knowledge, practical guidance, networking and policy influence, NorNAB aims to increase the flow of capital towards initiatives that contribute to the UN's sustainability goals. Among other things, in 2024 NorNAB launched Norway's first guide to impact investing, developed by Norwegian actors for the Norwegian context.
