About NorNAB
The Norwegian National Advisory Board for Impact Investing (NorNAB) is an independent and member-based organization, that works to develop a strong impact investment ecosystem in Norway, driving more capital towards initiatives that accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. In the current strategy period, we focus on increasing awareness and spreading knowledge about impact investing, and on encouraging collaboration in our network.
NorNAB seeks to connect and unite a broad range of players engaged in- or curious about impact investing. The core member base is family offices, asset managers, foundations and development finance institutions, in addition to NGOs and service providers that are part of the broader ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Member growth: Meet NorNAB’s ambitious goals for member growth in core target groups (family offices, foundations, asset managers) through tailored activities and proactive outreach.
2. Leadership and stakeholder management: Quickly establish trust and credibility,both within and outside the organization, acting as an ambassador and champion for impact investing on behalf of NorNAB and its members.
3. Shaping and implementing strategy: Develop and execute plans for NorNAB’s workstreams based on board-approved strategy.
4. Communications and public relations: Design and implement a robust communication and public relations strategy to elevate the presence of NorNAB in the industry and the broader ecosystem, ensuring consistent messaging and increased influence.
5. Operational excellence: build processes for smooth administration, board management, and structured execution of the organization’s various activities.
Qualifications:
● Relevant experience: ideally 5-10 years in impact investments, sustainability, ESG, finance, or related areas. NorNAB encourages candidates with less (or more!)experience who bring the right capabilities and mindset.
● Proven entrepreneurial drive and resilience: you are very independent, energized by building from scratch and unwavering in your efforts to achieve goals. You’re equally comfortable with high-level strategic thinking and rolling up your sleeves to deliver results on the ground.
● Structured and independent: solid project management andprioritization capabilities.
● Strategic communicator: Ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compellingnarratives across audiences and channels.
● Stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills: You easily navigate and connect with anarray of players in both public and private sectors.
● Proficiency in English and Norwegian: Robust writing, editing, and public speaking skills in both languages.
Success factors for the role (first 12months):
● Demonstrate growth in the membership.
● Increased awareness of NorNAB in the ecosystem as a result of communication efforts
● Growth in share of ambassadors in the member base
● Measurably strengthened partnerships and collaborations across the ecosystem.
● Effective operational management,including streamlined administrative processes, project deliveries, and collaboration with the Board of Directors.
Practical information
Location: The position requires day-to-day physicalpresence in Oslo, and entails some domestic and international travel.
Start date: as soon as possible.
