This webinar marks the launch of NorNAB’s Impact Investing in Practice series. The series zooms in on private markets and brings together dedicated impact GPs and LPs to look closely at how value creation and measurable environmental or social outcomes intersect in real investment strategies.

Aimed at investors with a general interest in impact investing – particularly those who are newer in the field – the series takes a practical approach to a simple but often unclear question: where does impact investing actually differ from conventional private market strategies, and why does that distinction matter?

Across the series, a select group of LPs and impact-focused GPs will share how they think about impact, financial performance and the potential trade-offs that come with integrating the two.

The first session focuses on a key Norwegian sector: aquaculture. We will be joined by Karina Wessel from BlueFront Equity and Ingrid Maurstad from Katapult Ocean to discuss the strategies they pursue, how and why they believe impact can be a source of outperformance, and the challenges that tend to surface when theory meets practice. This discussion will be moderated by Urs Bitterling from Cubera.
